#SolennCooking: My Take on Fish Tacos

Thanks for all the comments you’ve been making on my food posts! It really inspired me to do a food tutorial for the very first time (you can watch it below). My fish tacos recipe is super chill, pretty much all you need to do is chop a bunch of things and throw them in together. It’s easy enough that you can do it when you need a quick lunch or a dinner by yourself, but it also looks bongga so you can serve it during a meal with family and friends, and they’ll be super impressed. Lol. I wrote down my recipe below and if you notice, there aren’t a lot of measurements because 1) that’s how I cook and 2) the recipe is super simple and you can adjust everything according to your taste. WHAT YOU NEED:

For the fish:

– White fish (like tilapia, cod, dory)

– Spices (like cayenne pepper, cumin, paprika, salt)

For the mango salsa:

– Red onions, diced

– Tomatoes, diced

– Mangoes, diced

– Red, green & yellow bell peppers, diced

– Cilantro, chopped

– Lime

– Salt and pepper

– Olive oil

For the coleslaw:

– Red and green cabbage, chopped

– Red onions, sliced

– Lime

– Olive oil

For the sauce:

– 1 cup of sour cream  (depends on how much you want to make)

– Avocado, chopped

– Cilantro, chopped

– Jalapeños, chopped

– Lime juice

And don’t forget the tortillas! Lol.

HOW TO MAKE IT:

For the fish:

1. Marinate the white fish in spices, then cook it on the stove.

For the mango salsa:

1. Mix the red onions, tomatoes, mangoes, and bell peppers in a bowl.

2. Top with cilantro.

3. Squeeze in lime juice. Add some salt and pepper to taste, plus a swish of olive oil. Mix everything again.

For the coleslaw:

1. Mix the cabbage and red onions in a bowl.

2. Squeeze in lime juice. Add a swish of olive oil. Mix everything again.

For the sauce:

1. Put all the ingredients (sour cream, chopped avocado, chopped cilantro, chopped jalapeño, a squeeze of lime juice) in a food processor or a blender. Blend.

Put everything together:

1. Put the fish, coleslaw, salsa, and sauce in a tortilla.

2. Take pictures for Instagram ’cause it will look super fancy! Et voilà, fish tacos.
